Friends, Romans, countrymen (which, unlike caesar, all mean different things in my case), I believe that this is The End. I may stop by now and again to comment on other people's lives, but there is nothing I can think of that I would then post on this journal again. I mean, at the moment I'm lucky to get a post in a month, and that's just not proper journaling. Everyone else is fading off as well, so this may even fall on deaf (eyes?) I'm still around, so talk to me if you'd like... it's better than journal messages anyway.
In short, Bye.

I'm at college now.
It is quite
mormon here, which could be good or bad... we'll see. But either way, it's very different. I feel very... average... here. Which again, good or bad. Jury's still holding out.
The people here are incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. I'm still having a big problem with names, but I assume I'll get over that as time passes, although I don't expect to ever have all 8000 of our class down, especially since in three years I'll be a sophomore and the freshman girls will be seniors.
I'm kind of ranting here, partly to let you all know how I'm doing (and I'm just dandy, thanks for asking) and partly to let myself know. I still think that my subconscious is not convinced that I'm going to be living here for the next year without any real parental aid in my life. But that applies to all of you, I'd think... I don't need to tell you that.
Well, here an update for september, and in an hour or so of doing homework, I'm off to a barbecue and frisbee game, so... I'll talk to you all again in a month, eh? Current Mood: not bad, not bad

So we're going along route 28 and we see this cool fog-type thing that seems to be covering our view of most of pittsubrgh.
Stage 1: Oh, look at that cool fog... it's a little weird that it would be around the whole city, though...
Stage 2: (+5 minutes) That fog doesn't really look like fog anymore... it's more like smoke, and it smells pretty bad, and I think we're getting close to it
Stage 3: (+2 minutes) Ohgeezlookthehouseuponthathillisonfire.
So, yeah... moral of this story is, fog doesn't cover the entire city of pittsburgh. I hope no one in that house got hurt.

It's Carson's Monthly Update Time!
So, yeah, nothing much has happened in my life as of late, other than re-becoming single and sitting on my butt all day not doing my summer reading assignment. How about you?

Okay, so I haven't had a real update in a long time.
So, my life. How long has it been since I posted a real update? Probably around five months ago.
Since that time, I have:
1. Turned 18.
2. Learned to drive decently (sorta)
3. Except that I put a scratch on my car twice... that hurt
4. Passed my senior project (and thus really, finished high school)
5. Decided that I'm going to BYU this fall.
6. NOT signed up for the elimination game (that thing makes people SO paranoid)
7. Gotten a girlfriend.
Yeah I think that's about it. I like keeping my entries concise, because I don't have the ability to make things sound good. So, there you have it, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. There's a more than 10% chance I'll answer them.

Jeff gave me U.
Alphabet Meme: Comment here and you'll receive a letter. List ten words starting with that letter along with a description of what that word means to you.
Underdog: That cartoon dog that was always really annoying with his "Never fear, Underdog is here!". Also, the team I usually want to win a game.
Ukelele: Ukeleles always remind me of Hawaii, which is like, the best place ever. Really.
Umbridge: That annoying lady everyone wanted to die in the fifth (?) book of Harry Potter.
Uncle: I only have two uncles, one of whom I've never met. So my uncle Blake wins the uncle award for me.
Ur: Second biggest city in Babylon, I think... at least according to Civ III. Also, a really annoying AIM abbreviation.
USA: Oh, say can you see? By the dawn's early light...
Us: You. Me. Us.
Umbrealla: Corporate umbrellas, like Rockefeller, Carnegie, etc. Also, every time I think umbrella I think of those weird Japanese folding umbrellas. I think I may still have one.
Ugly: Abraham friggin Lincoln. Oh, and me.
Ultimate: Frisbee, or just a sweet sounding word. Anything that comes after the word ultimate in a sentence has to be cool.
Yeah, they got a little stretched right at the end there. Sorry. Comment for your own letter.

Okay, so for future reference, I absolutely despise this holiday. Probably my least favorite of the year. I'm so gullible that if you try and pull something on me, I'll believe you. But I'll probably be a really bad sport about it afterwards. Anyways, it's 2AM, so I'm off to bed. Really.

|stolen from that kid
By the way, I'm in Utah. I'll be back on Sunday.
You scored 74% kindness, 28% courage, 10% seedy past, and 35% secretiveness!
"Don't talk to me about the baby. I'm sick of everyone telling me what to do."
You are Claire. You are a very kind and caring person. You're not the bravest on the island, but you will stand up for yourself when the need arises. Compared to the other survivors, you have a pretty clean past and you're open and honest about most things. It's a good thing, too - Turniphead needs you to be nurturing and caring in order for him to grow up and NOT become the antichrist. Luckily, Charlie seems more than happy to assist you.
Your polar opposite is: Sawyer. You are similar to: Charlie and Sun.
Current Mood: mellow
|My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:|
||You scored higher than 84% on kindness|
||You scored higher than 7% on courage|
||You scored higher than 2% on seedy past|
||You scored higher than 10% on secretiveness|

|Let's make it official, shall we?
Okay, so now I'm officially
rejected from MIT. I'm surprised that I care so little. My little chart thingy has been upgraded, for those who care.

(my new word of today)
University of Michigan-----------------Northwestern
listed, but I'm not gonna wait)
The formatting is probably way off here, but I'll fix it later.
|this entry is really unimportant
Well, it's been a bit. I should probably say something about my life, the new people I've met, the dances I've gone to, etc., but all I can really think about right now is how much I hate spanish class. So, instead, the next entry (which will have nothing to do with anything I've previously mentioned) shall be a list of the colleges that are willing to put up with me for the next four years and those that hate my guts. I'll update it when I get new info.
P.S. Luckily, the whole Wash U thing got sorted out, so I'm actually not rejected from there yet. For those who care.

Guess whose birthday it is?
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay, guess whose eighteenth birthday minute it is?
At this very minute, 2:01 AM, I turned eighteen years old.
File THAT under completely useless information about Carson you'll never use.
At any rate, that's the only reason I stayed up. Honestly, I'm exhausted. But it had to be done.
Good night to you all.
Happy birthday to me and the King. Current Mood: Birthday-d

|I can't do one of these without a subject line
so I drove home today WITH MY WINDOW OPEN.
It's like, seventy degrees outside.
and I just finished like, everything I'll have to do school-related in terms of work until AUGUST.
and it's THREE DAYS until my eighteenth birthday.
If I've seemed moody, irritable, or what have you, that's going to change. It's going to be a lot nicer to be around me from here on out. Even though the weather thing is temporary. Current Mood: ecstatic
|Sunday, January 1st, 2006|
Okay, I have to finish and submit the applications for five colleges by the end of the day. And I don't think I have any of the essays done.
